Historic home to undergo renovation as Rutherford approves first application for tax credit program

The Daily News Journal – Murfreesboro, Tenn. — Rutherford County’s new Historic Property Tax Abatement Board voted to approve the county’s first historical property tax abatement last week.

The application was approved on Tuesday by the board, which was created on Sept. 1. Bonnie Black was notified Thursday morning that her application had been approved and she would soon be receiving the written approval from Murfreesboro Mayor Bill Ketron’s office.
